Well with all the great games coming out I couldn't resist. I was on ebay the other day and saw a 360 premium edition for 250.00 and caved in and baught it. The next day I went and baught: Gears of War Dead Rising Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Play and charge kit Xbox Live subscrition 4000 Gamer Points So now im ready to jump back into the gaming dudes add me to live my gamer tag is LLPSillentThreat See yall soon

Posts: 8,008,382 Group: Xtreme Crew Member #30 Joined: January 7, 2003	Gears of War is a great game, but try to get a friend with you to play co-op, it really makes it a lot more fun. Dead Rising, I've only tried a demo for it, but it seemed like a fun game. I'd say try to get Guitar Hero II, and if you like soccer, Pro Evolution Soccer 2007. PES 2007 is by far my favourite game for the 360, me and my roommate back in residence played it every day. Of course, you kinda have to be into soccer to enjoy it lol. trix

Unfortunately I'm going to have to cut back on my gaming because it doesn't last 30 minutes without a red ring of death appearing or an entire system shut down. I'll sell it for like 150 with controller, hard drive and games maybe I'll make it like 300? I dunno, I need one that doesn't poop out all the time. EDIT: NVM, its dead again. Fuckin microsoft has to be the shittiest console company. If it wasn't for their damned exclusives I would not even bother with the fucking xbox anymore.

I'm really looking forwards to Assassin's Creed - that game look stunning! Gears was really good, I just got a bit bored of the single player game after doing it a few times. I'm not that big on playing online. Worms on XBLA is awesome though... definitely worth the Microsoft Points to buy it!

Posts: 551 Group: Admin Member #45 Joined: January 20, 2003	peice of advice, to stop the ring of death keep alot of air flow to your xbox. The red ring of death is caused by overheating and your chipset basicly warps out of whack cause it's so hot. The best bet to prevent it is to keep the box as cool as it can be. Buy a cooling fan for it or if nothing else put a fan blowing onto it. Master

I made a trip to Home Depot and Radio Shack today and got the necessary parts to fix this myself (X-clamp replacement method). I voided my warranty a long time ago so my only other option is buying a new one.

I also did the 12v fan mod to run both fans at top speed all the time to help keep it nice and cool. It's pretty loud, but I'd rather have a bit of extra noise than spend $350.

I'm pretty sure its hard to avoid. Without that new heatsink, it just runs so much hotter. I got mine back for the second time a week ago. The system runs so much cooler now. Before, when I felt the box, it was really warm. Now, when I feel it, the front is cool, and the back, near the fans, is warm-ish. I think they put something into my Xbox, though, that makes me lose in Halo 2 everytime.
