Awesome Posts: 1,599 Group: Xtreme Crew Member #4 Joined: December 15, 2002 Favourite GTA Game GTA 3	One of the most anticipated (and highly rated) FPS games is out in the US today. I managed to pick up a copy and have put a couple hours of play in. It's definitely a great game. The whole concept of using plasmids (basically injections that give you superhuman abilities) and tonics to modify your body is quite fun and interesting. I've only obtained a few of the plasmids so far, but they have certainly allowed for some fun variations in gameplay. I'm playing on the normal difficulty, but for some reason I seem to find this game quite difficult...I often find myself being revived in the Vita Chamber (where you get sent when you die). Anybody else play this?

Awesome Posts: 1,599 Group: Xtreme Crew Member #4 Joined: December 15, 2002 Favourite GTA Game GTA 3	The one thing that sucks is that you can't equip all plasmids and tonics at one time, even with all of the slots unlocked. I already have maybe 9 plasmids and there are only 6 possible slots to hold them in. I lost count of all the tonics I've gotten. Also, one thing I've noticed is how easy this game really is. I don't even bother using the health packs sometimes if there's a Vita Chamber close by. You can get sent back there unlimited amounts of times, as far as I know, and you come out with about 50% health for free. This method really comes in handy when you choose to fight Big Daddies and Rosies to get ADAM from the Little Sisters.

Oh, for the record, it's worth saving the little sisters. Not going to spoil it but you get better shit for doing it in the long run. I'll be honest, this did have a very "RPG" element to it, and the way your character improved remided me very much so of the orginal Deus EX (not the shitty second one) Like Bam said, i found myself getting killed alot on normal setting, but there is the turning point in the game where you basically become nigh on unstopable. Most of the plasmids (powers) you'll never use to be quite honest, or they'll have a similar effect to another one so you chose one of the two. Swarm for example sort of stuns the enemy while they get stung, electro shock does the same but it also opens up busted doors. The tonics give your character a nice boost, and if managed right you can really kick ass, cant remember the set up i had, basically it was two for strenth improvment (making my wrench swings harder) then one to add a freezing attack to my wrench, i didnt actually use guns after that. Electro shock plasmid, up close, smack them a few times with the wrecnh and your done. The storys pretty dam good, very VERY different, nice plot twist in the middle. You do know somthings coming, but it's still makes you go "wow, didnt see THAT" By 1/2 though the game the big daddys (were described as enemys so tough most hardened FPS fans would have troulbe taking them down by the devolopers) go down like sacks of potatos. Really really easy if you use the right ammo. I personally prefer to take them on than some of the "splicers" (normal enemys) because you can see a big daddy all the time, some of the splicers teleport and hide in shadows, annoying! It's a very smart game, you have to have you whits about you, hacking for example, is done by a small puzzle, then theres the enviroment. Oil burns, water shocks.....sounds simple, ok, you've got a splicer whos climbing all over the roof and you cant really get a good shot in? Answer, lead him into a room with water on the floor, shock him off the roof into the water, then shock the water, one toasted splicer. Another good example, you get heat seeking rockets, not alot of a good against a big daddy, which in essance is a diver, so he's pretty dam cold. Not useful until your set him on fire with a burning drum of oil then let rip with the rockets. You can even lay traps for the big daddys to wonder into, i've taken one down without even unloading a shot into him, a combo of electric traps, oil drums, and a few security bots. Ease. SPOILER OF SORTS ******************************* The quickest and easist way to take down a big daddy, electric ammo, plasmids and traps, when you get the cross bow, you should be able to make electric traps pretty much stright away, around 6 of these will near enough take a big daddy out, (just lay them accros a hall and lure the daddy down it) if it dosent quite do the job finish up with shock shells from the shotgun, or anti armour from the pistol, you'll be suprised how easy they fall with this method.

I rescued every last one of them so I guess once I'm done I'll also get the "Little Sister Savior" achievement which is worth 100 gamer points. What a great game.
