 Christian Bale (as well as several others) before he (they) was (were) well known. Takes place in the 80's on Wall Street. It's got some good violence, gore, etc., but Bale's acting is over the top. They've been running it on HBO, so I keep watching parts here and there.

 Yeah, dude. I remember that show. Its been years since I've seen it though. When they first announced him as Bruce Wayne, I was thinking: "Wha?! The American Psycho? Shouldn't they be trying to get a GOOD actor for the role?" But he was actually quite good I thought in the Batman role.

 One of my favorite movies! It's just violently hilarious! Business card scene 4tw.

And if you really want to see Bale play a weird ass role, watch the movie "Newsies". Where a young american psycho/batman delivers papers. Hell yeah.

Newsies actually sucks. But he's in it and it's funny to watch.
