Part of this isn't new. In previous iterations, if you had a wanted level, one could save at one of their safehouses, some hours would pass and poof! No warning level.

Recently, I got fed up with an excess of police evasion when I was just starting a personal mission to accomplish something and didn't have the (real) time to evade the cops; a cop car literally just barely tapped the driver's corner of my back bumper -- ran into me -- as I was getting into my car near a stop light and their sirens went on. I was pissed and near my safehouse and went to try that trick to see if it still worked, but before saving it, I cancelled accidentally. ... No warning stars, no game time advancement. In other words, a new and improved "safehouse warning reduction trick."

As far as I know, this version of the safehouse warning reduction hasn't been in previous GTA games.

Is this new or old news? And if it is new, had anyone else noticed this glitch?

That sounds like it could be pretty useful against those annoying shits. Thanks for the heads up!
